Janet started South Cambridge
Physiotherapy with a practice in Stansted Airport in 1995
having worked at Addenbrookes - Cambridge and the Norfolk
and Norwich Hospitals. In 1998 the practice in Hauxton
opened. Janet is very interested in spine and sports injuries,
she has over 15 years experience of rugby and runners,
has physio'd at Lords Cricket ground and Twickenham, she
has taught on spinal courses and carries out DSE assessment
and Manual Handling training. |

Damaris has worked in Ireland
and Australia before coming to Cambridge, she joined the
practice in 1999 and has since completed her MSc in Sports
Rehabilitation including experience of research and analysis
in the States. Damaris has a special interest in feet
bio-mechanics and orthotics, she treats National level
sports people especially in the fields of Tennis and Equestrian.
Damaris is also experienced in the field of respiratory
care and chest problems. |

Alison gained her BSc(Hons)
from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle in 1997
and joined South Cambridge Physio in 2000 following working
in Bradford and Cambridge. Alison is a musulo-skeletal
therapist, she enjoys treating a wide range of problems
including backs, necks, occupational conditions, sports
injuries chronic and post-operative conditions. Alison
is qualified to carry out work place assessments. |

Amanda qualified from Cambridge
in 1993, gained her Masters in Womens Health in 2001 and
now is a specialist physiotherapist within this field.
Amanda lectures around the country in Womens Health as
well as pre and post natal Pilates. Amanda joined us in
2005 as well as continuing her work with Pilates classes. |

Andrew lectured in Applied
Sports and Exercise Biomechanics at the University of
Surrey - Roehampton before Graduating with a Masters in
Rehabilitation Science from Glasgow University in 2004.
Andrew has worked with Janet in the field of rugby since
2005 and joined the practice in 2006. Andrew works with
a wide variety of sports people, eg Shelford Rugby Club,
Northampton Saints Elite player Development Group, Eastern
Counties Rugby, American Forces, National Swimmers, Body
Builders to name a few. Andrew has a special interest
in injury prevention as well as sports performance enhancement. |

Angela qualified in 2005. She
has been involved with Eastern Counties rugby then joined
Janet and Andrew at Shelford Rugby Club in 2005, she works
in Cambridge for the NHS and joined South Cambridge Physio
in 2007 to run 2 evening sessions. Angela has a special
interest in muscle re-education and rehabilitation. |

Alison Parkes specialises in
chest conditions. She used to run the Respiratory Unit
at the John Ratcliff Hospital, Oxford before moving to
Cambridge. Alison has undertaken research, had papers
published and contributed chapters in books relating to
treatment of chest conditions. |

Dr Sarah Thacker completed
her undergraduate training at Kings College, London Medical
School, she then worked in various London hospitals including
the Westminster and University College Hospitals before
coming to Cambridge to work in Addenbrookes.
In 2006 Dr Thacker started to carry out medicals for the
insurance industry leading to the set up of Cambridge
Health Screening in 2007 |
